The Pinske Edge Solid Surface Fabrication Seminars are held in the state-of-art Pinske Edge fabrication shop in Plato, MN. Come and try out all of the Pinske Edge tools and learn time-saving, quality fabrication methods. You’ll increase your safety, quality and productivity, get answers to all of your questions, and you’ll walk away ready to tackle a project of your own. During the seminar, you can videotape or take photos of seaming, routing, edge treatments…..anything you want to have for a memory refresher or to show your friends back home. WHO: Class size is limited to approx. 6 – 8 students for this in-depth course. Participants must be somewhat experienced with shop tools/equipment. |
WHAT: At the seminar, you’ll assist in making a top. The process will include templating, material layout, cutting, seaming, bowl mounting, edge treatments, cutouts, backsplash (both set-on and coved), finishing, and installation. We’ll also tackle basic repairs, inlays and thermoforming.
You’ll learn the following and apply precise, timesaving methods using Pinske Edge Tools: – Product Knowledge – properties, features and benefits of solid surface materials – polyesters/acrylics/blends. |
COST: Tuition is $750 per person. You are responsible for your own travel, room and meals. If traveling by air, the closest airport is Minneapolis-St. Paul (MSP). The sample top made during class is for training purposes only and cannot be taken from the facility. To obtain full benefit for this seminar, you may wish to purchase Pinske Edge tools used during class. If purchased at the seminar, many of the tools will qualify for a 10% discount. Remember, you are learning from one of the best and most knowledgeable fabrication shops inthe industry. We require a 50% down payment (non-refundable) to reserve your seminar space. This payment may be made on a credit card or with a company check. Upon arrival, the remaining balance must be remitted in full. |
CERTIFICATION: Upon passing this course, you will become Avonite, Livingstone, Meganite, and Staron certified. Other solid surface distributors may also certify you, but you must inquiry directly to ascertain.WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING: All tools and routers will be furnished. We do recommend bringing your own tape measure, camera and video cam. Your purchased tools are yours to take or ship home. |
